How many costume packs left until the game is "released"

  • Gotta love how transparent they are with how they're milking the playerbase releasing what is it now, 3 costume sets in the last week or so?

So I'm wondering, how many do you think will come out before the game "officially" launches? I'm thinking at least 10 more.

"oh but komari they're just cosmetics; you don't need to buy them"

well of course you don't, but other people will. I think there were about 5 of each of the new sets for stella being sold in market earlier. It's too fucking easy. Why bother improving the game when you can just do this and people will still bite? lol

  • Honest question here, I might be missing your point but what is the difference between releasing costumes now versus releasing costumes after official launch?

  • I don't think they will release all the costumes at once. They will release like one or two at a time and keep those for about a month and then put in another one after.

  • Because since it's hasn't been an "official launch" yet, you can consider it a half-released game. The game's not technically out yet. It's like Early Access on Steam. While it might not really be a big difference between the two, it's super questionable to be constantly releasing new items to pay for on something that hasn't even been "officially" released yet. It also raises concerns about how they will treat the game in the future as they're so blatantly releasing more cash shop stuff before the game's even out.

Sure, open beta might not be much different than the final release, but at the moment there's still issues that are going on with server stability (having to fix NA twice in 2 days now, along with random crashes and lag ongoing) and some more minor issues like sidequests of dungeons only appearing 2-3 levels after actually finishing it (forgotten armory sidequests only appeared after level 52 while the dungeon itself is in 48-49 ranges).

If the game is out and plays fine, go ahead and come out with whatever you want--more stuff for me to make my character cute, but jesus christ let's actually get to that point first.

    edit: typos

Is this lag you are currently experiencing, or are we speaking overall? I've talked to a few people and they mention they have almost unplayable lag right now. I have a feeling there might be a routing issue with certain variables.

  • I don't mind it, tbh.

Atm I can buy new costumes each day by simply merching a little bit, and running Ark.

I would expect that once the game actually gets released, costume prices will soar and I'd have to farm for a couple of days instead.

I also have some lag going on. I actually just gave up for the day and logged out. The boss in...uh...idr the name >.> Cough the boss with the roller blades that is annoying, well she was lagging all over the place. On my final dungeon of fighting her, she just stood there, not doing anything, yet I was getting smacked around the room by some invis force, dealing 4k+ each hit, and I couldn't see anything and meanwhile, the boss "icon" was just standing in the same spot not moving. ;~; It wasn't fun.

  • You gotta test those things too....

Well, I actually assume this is not related. Beta is just so you can be a bit more relaxed with maintenance schedule and bugs. There is software that never goes past beta status. If you pay money there are some law involved and it really doesn't matter if you sell something in a beta or not.

Unfortunately, if you deal with a big company everything moves slow. Startups are much more flexible. However, even a big company wants to make some quick cash. ;)

  • We need Jin and Iris ASAP >.<. Already leveling my third alt cuz don't want to waste mats on costumes and upgrades for characters im not planning to main.

    Overall.

I think because of the lag I've been having some issues using my skills on stella, especially the lvl 28 swamp one where I would use it and it would do no damage at all.

When ur getting swarmed by 30-40 monsters and that happens, it's a tilter.

This also happened the other day for no reason where the laser wall thing of the boss popped up and wouldn't go away because the boss died but there was a bit of a delay between it dying and the whole animation thing of dying happened.

  • We don't need patch notes because it's a beta, yet we need new costumes each week. Pigs will never full their stomach

Amen...the game changes not important for you to know but its important for you to buy these cash shop items. Get with the program...stop asking important questions and whip out your wallet so you can experience endgame while posting your cute outfit on the forums.;(

I've been seeing gameplay affecting issues since the last patch with the 'server stability optimization'.

Skill cooldowns and lack of SF to use a skill isn't working correctly. The skill stays lit up and if you use it your character just freezes for a split second while the chatlog is spammed with either "cooldown not ready" or "not enough SF".

Prior to this patch, the skill would be greyed out and fully unusable. I don't know if this is due to some latency related issue or core game change in the patch, but it's a really poor experience in comparison to how it used to be.

Of course, it's also coupled with server lag spikes affecting combat (delays on hits, warping/rubberbanding of both you and enemies, getting hit out of skill hitboxes, etc). Also sometimes enemy collision boxes stay there after they die along with their icons on the minimap; makes fighting and gauging the enemies left a complete hassle.

But I guess it's fine, 'cause we get more $20 costumes while every other issue is ignored, right?

Oh and just as I was about to submit this post I started up SW and was greeted with this:

    Quality.

Edit: And connecting to the NA server after this took about 30 seconds before I was brought to the char screen. Gonna assume the game is barely playable.. never seen it like this before.

They should really be focusing on releasing the full game including the characters that some people are waiting for. Like me and many other with Iris lol

    :iris1::iris3::iris4::iris2:

  • Personally, I’m thrilled with the pase that they are releasing costumes. A lot of other games drag their feet releasing cosmetics. Plus, they haven’t released an outfit i rly rly love yet, so I like that they are releasing them quickly for that reason as well, hopefully won’t have to wait too long for something I like.

  • it's simple really.

they use the term "open beta" instead of "official release" as an excuse for not fixing all bugs before releasing the game.

they'll change it to "official release" when they feel like all major bugs have been dealt with.

but it being a beta doesn't prevent them from releasing costumes.

  • Hanbok

    Sweet Confectioner

    Sweet and young

    School Detectives

    Sporty/sporty limited

    Forest Guard

    Lovely Nurse/City Boys

These sets were all released in KR before Jin was released, at least that's how I see it.

Considering we've already obtained what, 3 you said? So, 4 more? Perhaps? Maybe?
